Major scale

A major scale consists of:

  • Whole step
  • Whole step
  • Half step
  • Whole step
  • Whole step

  • Half step

In a major scale, the minor seconds are between the 3rd and 4th note, and between the 7th note and the octave. All the rest are major seconds.
